Rescuers recovered four more bodies today from the wreck of the Costa Concordia cruise liner which capsized off Giglio Italy, after hitting rocks in January earlier this year. This brings the total number of confirmed dead in the cruise ship tragedy arrived at 30. With only two more bodies yet to be accounted for.

The location of the bodies, in a narrow area between the hull and rocks, made the operations particularly challenging and rescue workers towed the bodies from a small dinghy towards the emergency workers boat. Rescue work continued in the hope that the fifth body would also be retrieved.
