Alix Earle Takes Swipe at Alex Cooper Over Canceled Show at 'Earle Meets World' Premiere

Alix Earle turned the red carpet into a battleground on 2 September, taking a sharp swipe at Alex Cooper's recently cancelled dating show, Love Overboard, during the premiere of her own Netflix reality series, Earle Meets World.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the star-studded event, the podcast host claimed she was eager to keep the spotlight on her personal milestone rather than dwell on past drama. Yet, Earle quickly flipped the script with a pointed remark about Cooper's cancelled show, making it clear that tensions between the two remain far from over.

The Six‑Word Dig That Launched a Thousand Headlines

In an interview with ET at the premiere, Earle was asked how it felt to finally address the 'Alex Cooper situation' on camera. She said she was happy to share her side of the story and wanted to focus on the series' launch.

But for a brief moment, she took a subtle swipe at Cooper, with whom she has had a public falling-out. 'I'm happier just to like focus on the premiere and having the show out there, and you know, hers are getting cancelled so, it is what it is,' Earle said, prompting the interviewer to laugh.

The comment came as Earle prepares to make her reality television debut with Earle Meets World, which premieres on Netflix on 4 September. The unscripted series follows the 25-year-old influencer as cameras document her life, career and family, including her sister Ashtin and other relatives.

The show marks Earle's latest move from social media into mainstream entertainment. Netflix has described it as an unfiltered look behind the scenes of her life and family.

Love Overboard Sunk After Single Season

Earle's comment came days after reports that Love Overboard, a dating reality series produced by Cooper, had been cancelled by Hulu after one season. The series premiered on 26 March 2026, with all nine episodes released at once.

Hosted by former Bachelorette star Gabby Windey, Love Overboard followed 22 singles aboard a luxury yacht as they searched for romance while competing for access to the vessel's more lavish amenities. Cooper served as an executive producer alongside Jeff Jenkins.

Reports said the show was cancelled after failing to find a large enough audience. Hulu has not publicly provided a detailed explanation for the decision.

The timing gave Earle's comment an added edge, particularly as she promotes a new Netflix series. Cooper's first major unscripted television project has ended after a single season.

How a Business Split Became an All‑Out Feud

The origins of Earle and Cooper's feud remain unclear, but tensions became more visible after Earle's Hot Mess podcast left Cooper's Unwell Network in early 2025. Earle had joined the network in 2023, making her one of its earliest prominent creators.

Unwell said it returned the rights to Hot Mess to Earle so she could pursue future opportunities. Earle later said the situation had been, behind the scenes, 'a little bit of a hot mess', while Cooper maintained that Earle's podcasting situation was not caused by Unwell.

Their relationship subsequently played out through social media, with both women appearing to exchange subtle references and reposts. In August 2025, Earle responded to a fan asking what had happened between her and Cooper by writing, 'How much time do you have?'

The dispute escalated in April 2026 after Earle reposted a TikTok criticising Cooper. Cooper then directly addressed Earle in a separate video.

'Alix Earle, hey girl, the passive-aggressive reposts and the likes and commenting on things. I got to call you out here. You're going to need to get specific and just say what you got to say about me.

There's no NDA, no one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself,' Cooper said.

Earle subsequently appeared to embrace the confrontation rather than dismiss it. She commented on Cooper's TikTok with, 'Okay on it.'

Neither woman has publicly provided a complete account of what caused the breakdown in their relationship, leaving much of the feud open to interpretation. For now, Earle is moving ahead with Earle Meets World, while Cooper faces renewed attention over the cancellation of Love Overboard.

Earle's latest comment has added another public chapter to a dispute that began with a business split. It has since become a highly visible social media feud.
