A decades-old television appearance has thrust Donald Trump back into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, resurfacing deeply troubling comments about his infant daughter that have ignited fresh waves of criticism on social media. The video in question shows the now-79-year-old president, then around 48 years old, making suggestive remarks about his daughter Tiffany's physical development during a 1994 episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous alongside his then-wife, Marla Maples.

The couple, who welcomed Tiffany on Oct. 13, 1993, were interviewed by the show's host, Robin Leach, less than a year after her birth. When asked what attributes Tiffany had inherited from each parent, Trump's response crossed a line that left viewers — and modern audiences —utterly appalled.

Trump's Controversial Comments Spark Widespread Outrage

'She's a very beautiful baby,' Trump raved during the segment, before adding: 'She's got Marla's legs. We don't know whether or not she's got this part yet, but time will tell.' As he uttered those final words, he gesticulated toward his chest in a gesture meant to indicate large breasts, making his meaning unmistakably clear to viewers.

The clip, which circulated widely on social media in recent months, has ignited a firestorm of criticism from users horrified by the president's objectification of his one-year-old child. On platform X, one commenter blasted Trump unequivocally: 'No dad would ever think or say something like this. He's so completely disgusting and f'd in the head.' Another user added even harsher language, questioning how any parent could speculate on a baby's future physical development in such terms.

The backlash has been swift and severe, with critics highlighting what they perceive as a disturbing pattern of behaviour. A fourth user pointed out: 'Man... unimaginably disgusting. Such thoughts would never even remotely cross the mind of a normal father. Can you imagine a mother talking about the potential penis size of her 1-year-old son?' Another commenter simply stated: 'Anyone thinks this is normal when talking about your 1 year old is bats--t crazy.'

Not everyone, however, has viewed the comments through a critical lens. Some supporters have argued that Trump was simply making a joke, with one user defending the remark: 'Notice how everyone laughed and not awkwardly. It was a joke/compliment to his beautiful wife.'

A Pattern of Inappropriate Remarks About Trump's Daughters

This 1994 incident is far from isolated, as Trump has a well-documented history of making bizarre and inappropriate comments about his daughters' appearances. In 2006, during an appearance on the talk show The View with his eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump — whom he had with his first wife, Ivana Trump, in 1981 — the future president made an equally shocking remark that sparked immediate condemnation from the show's hosts.

'If Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her,' Trump declared, prompting hosts to express their disapproval directly. 'Stop it' and 'You're so weird,' they responded, visibly uncomfortable with his comments. In that same appearance, Trump also gushed over Ivanka's 'very nice figure,' and this exchange came just two years after he had given radio host Howard Stern permission to describe Ivanka as 'a piece of a--'.

The pattern extends further back into Trump's public life, as audio from a 2004 appearance on the Howard Stern Show recently resurfaced, revealing deeply troubling comments about then-18-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan. During the conversation, Trump initiated discussion about the Freaky Friday actress, asking Stern directly: 'What do you think of Lindsay Lohan?' When Stern responded that he found her attractive, Trump elaborated: 'There's something there, right? But you have to like freckles. I've seen a close-up of her chest...and a lot of freckles.'

Stern later posed a crude question about the troubled actress, to which Trump responded: 'Yeah, you're probably right. She's probably deeply troubled and therefore great in bed. How come the deeply troubled women, you know, deeply, deeply troubled, they're always the best in bed?' He continued without restraint: 'I mean, they're just unbelievable. You don't wanna be with them for the long term but for the short term, there's nothing like it.'

These accumulated revelations paint a disturbing portrait of a man who has repeatedly reduced women — including his own daughters — to their physical attributes, a pattern that critics argue reflects a fundamental disrespect for women and an alarming moral bankruptcy.
