The gay porn star at the centre of Canada's biggest ever manhunt is expected in court today. Luka Rocco Magnotta is accused of killing, chopping up and eating a Chinese student in Montreal.

The suspect was brought in on a military plane from Berlin last night under incredibly tight security. He was caught a cyber café there, after going on the run. Magnotta had posted a You Tube video of the grisly crime and then posted the victim's feet and hands to two government offices and two schools. A torso was found in a suitcase in an alleyway near his flat.

Ian Lafreniere, the Montreal police commander, said a military plane was necessary because the suspect is extremely dangerous. "We never knew until the last minute exactly that they were coming back to Montreal. Extremely happy of the result today. This is not the end of the investigation. We're doing the investigation because as you know we're missing an important part of that investigation which is the head of the body and to help out the family. We'll do everything to find it out"

Magnotta did not fight extradition to Canada. The Justice Minister thanked Germany for its "swift and decisive action" in extraditing Magnotta. He's due in court later today.
