Kahn followed up with further gossip pieces, including one that playfully asked 'Angelina who?' and described Oxman as a 'dazzling supernova' of beauty and brains. For Epstein, this was likely more than just idle celebrity voyeurism. The financier had deep, controversial ties to MIT's Media Lab, having donated roughly $800,000 to the institution.

Oxman herself later confirmed she met Epstein once in 2017, at the request of the lab's director, where she presented him with a 3D-printed marble gift after he donated $125,000 to her design group.
