Knightsbridge Hotel Murder Shines Light on Rising Crime in London's Luxury Neighbourhoods
A young father was fatally stabbed during a suspected Rolex robbery in one of London's wealthiest districts

Blue Stevens, a 24-year-old father of two, was fatally stabbed during an attempted luxury watch robbery in Knightsbridge, one of London's most exclusive neighbourhoods.
The attack, which unfolded in front of his partner outside a luxury hotel, has shocked the capital and reignited concerns over rising violent crime in high-end districts. As the suspect remains on the run, police are urgently appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage to piece together what happened.
Who Was Blue Stevens?
Stevens was a father of two young children and was believed to be from Yateley in Hampshire. Known to family and friends as kind-hearted and devoted, Stevens had reportedly travelled to London with his partner on the evening of 9 July.
Following his death, emotional tributes were left at the crime scene.
As reported by the Standard, a message from his partner read, 'To My Blue. We are all absolutely devastated without you. You took a piece of my heart with you. A part of me has gone with you. I love you more than absolutely anyone in this world. My boy forever and always.'
His mother also expressed her grief on social media, writing, 'Please. I want him back.'
What Happened in Knightsbridge That Night?
According to The Times, the fatal stabbing occurred at around 9:30 pm on Seville Street, just off Knightsbridge and moments away from Hyde Park. The location is surrounded by high-end hotels and restaurants, including the luxury Park Tower Hotel and the well-known Nusr-Et Steakhouse.
Metropolitan Police believe Stevens was the target of a robbery involving a high-value watch, possibly a Rolex. During the attempted theft, a violent struggle broke out. Stevens was stabbed in the chest and collapsed nearby.
Emergency services arrived swiftly and administered first aid, but despite their efforts, Stevens was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Under Way
The incident is being treated as a robbery and murder. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
