Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson is the latest celebrity to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The 28-year-old actor had been nominated by friend, Zac Efron, who then posted Pattinson's video on his YouTube account.

"Rob's not on social media, so he asked me to post his Ice Bucket Challenge for ALSA.org. #StrikeOutALS," Efron captioned the video.

In the clip, Pattinson who was seen wearing a white t-shirt and a backwards cap said: "Thanks for your nomination, Efron. Thanks very much. I couldn't find a bucket on short notice so I had to improvise."

The Water for Elephants star's friends were seen throwing a saucepan of ice cubes on the actor's head, and later drenching him with a hose.

"I don't have an Instagram so you're going to have to deal with this," Pattinson said later.

Pattinson nominated his The Rover co-star Guy Pearce, his Maps to the Stars co-star, Mia Wasikowska, and Marilyn Manson for the challenge.
