A Tibetan man attempted to set himself on fire in New Delhi at a protest against a visit by Chinese President Hu Jintao, who is due to arrive in India later this week for the BRICS Summit.

Phone footage seen here shows a man with flames all over the upper part of his body. Fellow protestors then threw buckets of water all over him. It is not yet clear though, how serious, his injuries are. The protesters were gathered at Jantar Mantar with banners and placards, protesting against the visit due to Beijing's policies against Tibet.

According to human rights groups 30 Tibetans have set themselves on fire, mostly in south-western China, in the past year to protest against Chinese rule in Tibet. At least 20 of them have died.
