Angelina Jolie made two childrens' day when she stopped her car to buy a huge bear they were trying to sell. The Hollywood star was with daughter Shiloh, 10, when they made the surprise stop in Los Angeles' Toluca Lake on Sunday (28 August).

Twins Allen and Brandon Alexander were standing on the roadside brandishing a 'for sale' sign. On a blue futon behind them was a giant cuddly bear. Videoing them the boys' father Tim Alexander begins by asking them what they are doing. "Today's a nice Sunday. What are Allen and Brandon doing?" he asks.

"Who wants to buy Big Bear? he adds, little knowing that their first customer would be none other than Oscar winner Angelina Jolie. The actress pulled up in her white luxury SUV with Shiloh, to enquire about the 8 foot tall bear.

Dressed casually in a loose-fitting black kimono-style dress with flip flops, the 41-year-old beamed as she chatted warmly to the children Mail Online reports. The Kung Fu Panda star asked the boys: "Tell me a story, tell me your favorite animal."

While the bear was for sale for $50, Jolie, who has six children with husband Brad Pitt including twins Knox and Vivienne, generously paid double the asking price, giving the twins $50 each. After helping to force the giant toy into the back of the SUV she told the children: "You're very good at doing your job. You guys are so cool."

Introducing herself to the family she said: "This is Shiloh. I'm Angie. Nice to meet you".

It was a touching brush with celebrity that the family won't forget, after their encounter with the movie star was captured on video. And they also made a good sale.
