Arsenal are reportedly eyeing FC Lorient's Raphael Guerreiro as a potential replacement for Kieran Gibbs. The 22-year-old Portuguese is attracting interest from the Premier League club, who feel Gibbs may look to move on after falling behind Nacho Monreal in the pecking order.

The Gunners have long-standing links with the Breton club and hope that will play to their advantage when it comes to signing the left-back. He could replace Gibbs in the Arsenal squad, after the England international has found his playing time limited this season. Gibbs has played just 12 games in all competitions and only three in the league.

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for the 26-year-old full-back, who has two years left on his contract at the Emirates. What's more, The Independent claims the north London club are also open to offers for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Arsenal scouts have reportedly been impressed by Guerreiro, who is also capable of playing on the left side of midfield. Guerreiro was part of the Portugal team which lost in the final of European Under-21 Championship in 2015. Subsequently, he has broken into the senior team, winning three caps so far.

Lorient have forged a reputation as a club who make a profit on players they have signed from the lower leagues. Among the most famous example is Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny, who has become a key player at the Emirates.
