Singer/actress Miley Cyrus and Australian actor Liam Hemsworth walked the red carpet together, at the premiere of his new film Paranoia at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old former Disney star looked stunning in a red and black leather Proenza Schouler dress and white Celine shoes, while the Hunger Games star looked dapper in a black suit and shirt by BOSS.

Cyrus and Hemsworth have been dating since 2009, when they co-starred in the Nicholas Sparks film, The Last Song. On 31 May, Hemsworth proposed to Cyrus with a 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring.

There were reports the couple called off their marriage, after she was spotted without her engagement ring. However, this event, which marks the pair's first red carpet appearance together in more than a year, should go some way to silencing all the rumours.

Meanwhile, at the event, the 23-year-old actor, who plays Adam Cassidy in the Robert Luketic directed film, told reporters he picks every film "for different reasons".

"And every film I grow as an actor and, I think, as a person, especially when you work with these kinds of actors. It was nice to see how much they still cared about film. You know they love makings movies and that's what I love to do," he said.

Hemsworth's co-star, Amber Heard, looked elegant in a blue and black layered dress from Vionnet. She teamed it with Jimmy Choo shoes, a Valentino clutch and David Yurman jewellery. The movie also stars Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Embeth Davidtz, Lucas Till and Richard Dreyfuss.

Heard was in the news earlier this month, after appearing on the cover of Flare magazine. The 27-year-old actress, who is in a relationship with Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, spoke extensively on her personal and professional lives.
