Body Cam Footage Shows Usher's Ex-Wife Tameka Foster in Lighthearted Arrest: 'Don't Tell Nobody This Sh-t'

Tameka Foster, ex-wife of Usher, experienced a surprisingly amicable arrest, with police body camera footage revealing a light-hearted exchange that ended with her being taken into custody over unresolved court issues related to a car insurance lapse.

However, she was unaware that resolving the insurance did not automatically clear her from court obligations. Missing her scheduled court appearance led to a warrant for her arrest, which was only discovered when officers boarded her flight last month.

'My heart stopped. I definitely didn't think they were going to say I had a warrant for failing to appear,' Tameka said.

The police body cam footage, released recently, shows a surprisingly cordial interaction.

'I mean, if I were acting belligerent or something, I'd understand,' Tameka said.

Foster, seated on her flight after returning from a tropical holiday, was identified by officers as they called her name over the loudspeaker.

She describes her initial reaction as shock, not expecting to be sought for an outstanding warrant.

In the footage, Foster is seen smiling and engaging in casual banter, even requesting the officers not to tell anyone about her situation, implying it was somewhat embarrassing.

The police officers, in turn, maintained a friendly demeanour, which has garnered attention for the unusual tone of what is typically a tense situation.

'This is the craziest out-of-body shit I've ever experienced," Tameka said. 'The sad part is, I got pulled over for nothing. I don't even have a speeding ticket,' she added.

Don't worry, she paid

Foster confirmed she paid the outstanding fine shortly after the incident and expressed frustration over the process, especially the hostility she faced from staff despite her efforts to resolve the issue.

She highlighted that her arrest was largely due to administrative oversight rather than criminal behaviour. The incident serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of staying on top of legal and administrative obligations.
