Ibrahimi's charred body was found near his home.

Two men have been charged with burning a man to death near his home in Brislington, near Bristol.

Stephen Norley and Lee James, both 24, were charged with Bijam Ibrahimi's murder after being questioned by Avon and Somerset Police.

Two women, aged 24 and 32, were also questioned and have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Appearing at Bristol Magistrates Court, the defendants spoke only to confirm their names. Norbury spent the hearing with his head in his hands crying, the Bristol Post said.

A number of family members attended the court. No pleas were entered and both have been remanded in custody until they appear at Bristol Crown Court on 8 August.

Ibrahimi had lived alone in Brislington for three years. He was found after teenage boys heard him screaming. He had also suffered from head injuries.

The police said: "We were called to the address to reports of a seriously injured man who had then been found in flames by paramedics. He died as a result of his injuries."

His death has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission as the victim had been questioned by police just two days before his death.
