A registered sex offender was arrested in Fort Worth, Texas, after furniture store employees alerted police to his disturbing enquiries about triple bunk beds that could accommodate 'at least three kids in each bed'—a total of twelve children.

Emory Dee Garner, 57, entered Fuze Furniture on Tuesday asking specific questions about children's sleeping arrangements that immediately raised red flags amongst staff.

The employees' quick thinking and subsequent investigation led to the discovery that Garner was a Level Two sex offender living less than one kilometre from a local elementary school.

A Bizarre Request Leads to Arrest

'He came and asked if we carry triple bunk beds, if we had them in full sizes, and if he could fit at least three kids in each bed,' a store employee shared in a TikTok video about the event.

'So four times three, that's a lot of kids,' another employee observed. In the video, the staff then appear to search for Garner's name on a sex offender registry. 'It seemed odd, so we went and looked... he's a level two sex offender,' store owner David Hamdan noted. 'Age of victim at time of crime, 16... you nasty son of a b---h.'

Notably, the Fort Worth Sex Offender Registry lists Garner's crimes as 'Indecency With A Child By Exposure.' In a subsequent video, an employee confirmed.

Disturbing Discoveries and Police Action

The staff also checked Garner's address and were even more unsettled by what they discovered: the home's front porch was enclosed from floor to ceiling with metal grilles. Similarly, the second-floor balcony was barred and shielded with panels, blocking any outside views.

These observations led the store staff to contact local authorities. After the event, Hamdan shared a TikTok update confirming that local police had visited the store to inform them of Garner's arrest.

'Update on the psycho freak that came to the furniture store, Fort Worth police came by today and said he has been arrested, he's locked up, he's not on the streets so good job everybody.'

He added that officers found two sex offenders residing together in the house, which is less than a kilometre from an elementary school. However, it remains unclear whether the police also took the second person into custody.
