Europe's tallest and most active volcano, Mount Etna, which is located above the Sicilian town Catania, has erupted rather dramatically for the sixth time this year.

Here the Volcano is spewing out hot lava and ash and smoke billows everywhere. The main eruption site is located at the south-eastern crater which has seen three eruptions in the past four weeks..

In more dramatic scenes the dense smoke is obscuring the top of the mountain and flames are clearly visible.

While in this shot, the arc of fire, smoke and lava bellowing out, looks pretty formidable stuff. But, so far Italian authorities have not issued any warning of danger to houses and people.

Umm scary stuff,I guess you would want to give the rambling a wide berth this weekend wouldn't you?
