Joy Taylor says she is 'traumatised but healing' after being named in a sexual misconduct lawsuit filed against Fox Sports. The broadcaster broke her silence in a new interview, calling the scandal deeply traumatic and admitting it left her emotionally shaken.

The lawsuit, filed by former Fox hair stylist Noushin Faraji, also accuses Skip Bayless, executive Charlie Dixon and Fox Corporation of various forms of misconduct between 2012 and 2024. Taylor strongly denies any wrongdoing.

Lawsuit Outlines Allegations Against Taylor and Colleagues

Filed earlier this year, the complaint alleges that Taylor used sexual relationships to advance her career, specifically naming her co-host Emmanuel Acho and Dixon. It also claims she dismissed Faraji's complaints, telling her to 'get over it' after she reportedly raised concerns about sexual harassment involving Bayless and Dixon.

Taylor's lawyers have firmly rejected all allegations, calling the lawsuit 'a transparent attempt to improperly leverage media attention and public perception to extract financial gain'.

Taylor Speaks About Emotional Impact of Lawsuit

Speaking on Power 105.1's 'The Breakfast Club', Taylor described the experience as taking a significant emotional toll. 'I won't say there weren't dark times,' she said, crediting her family, friends and colleagues for helping her through it.

She described the aftermath as a process of grief. 'When you go through trauma or loss, you don't get to decide who you are in that moment,' she said. 'It takes time to make sense of it.'

Taylor added that she is trying to be patient with herself, noting that the experience has marked a major shift in her life. 'It's a new reality. I'm trying to choose myself and be gentle in that sense.'

Lawsuit Highlights Toxic Workplace Culture at Fox Sports

The lawsuit portrays a toxic workplace culture at Fox Sports. Faraji alleged that Bayless offered her £1.2 million ($1.5 million) in exchange for sex, and that Dixon groped her at work. Taylor was named in the suit due to her alleged knowledge of these incidents and her reported response to Faraji's complaints.

Despite the allegations, Taylor has remained in her roles, continuing to host FS1's 'Speak' and her podcast 'Two Personal', where she often discusses sex, dating and modern relationships.

Taylor Remains On Air Despite Ongoing Controversy

Taylor explained her decision to remain visible during the scandal. 'It was intentional to show up as I did,' she said. 'When you know yourself, it's easier to continue to show up as you are.'

She acknowledged that scrutiny is part of life in the public eye. 'That's the risk we take. What's meant for me is still coming,' she added.

Charlie Dixon Dismissed After Separate Misconduct Claims

Charlie Dixon reportedly lost his job in April following multiple allegations, including a separate claim that he forcibly kissed former Fox Sports host Julie Stewart-Binks during a 2016 hotel meeting. Dixon has denied that accusation. Bayless has also denied all claims against him, and Fox is seeking full dismissal of the lawsuit.

Taylor Focuses on Recovery and Moving Forward

The case remains under review. Meanwhile, Taylor has shifted her focus toward self-preservation. 'I'm working on it,' she said. 'I know years from now I'll feel differently than I do right now.'

Her public comments reflect a broader trend of women in media speaking candidly about the emotional cost of navigating both public and private attacks. In her own words, she is choosing not to hide but to heal out loud.
