Hugh Jackman, Sutton Foster Wedding Soon? Actress Reportedly 'Desperate' For 'Quickie' Marriage
Broadway stars Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are reportedly engaged and planning a 2026 wedding in New York.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are reportedly preparing to take their 'Music Man' chemistry to the altar, with insiders claiming the couple is planning a star-studded New York wedding for later this year.
The 57-year-old Australian star and Foster, 50, fell for each other whilst performing in 'The Music Man' on Broadway, and sources say their connection has only deepened since both finalised their divorces.
Following Foster's filing for divorce from screenwriter Ted Griffin in late 2024 and the finalisation of Jackman's 27-year marriage to Deborra-Lee Furness in June 2025, the two Broadway veterans have reportedly become inseparable.
According to sources close to the production, what began as a backstage connection has evolved into a 'diamond solitaire' engagement, with the couple now waiting only for legal clearances to make their union official.
From Ryan Reynolds as best man to a guest list featuring Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe, this is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings in years.

The Secret Engagement That's an Open Secret
Speculation about the pair's commitment has been building quietly for months. 'Hugh and Sutton are so over the top in love. They practically glow when they're together. It's an open secret among Hugh's friends that they're already engaged. He's just too excited to keep that to himself. It's not something they can announce publicly until she's officially divorced, but they are gearing up to that,' revealed an insider close to the couple.

This revelation suggests that whilst Jackman and Foster are keeping their engagement private for now, those in their inner circle have long suspected they'd taken this significant step. The pair's relationship became public in January 2025, when they were spotted on their first official dinner date in Santa Monica, California, just a few months after Foster's split from Griffin in October 2024.

For Jackman, who separated from Furness in September 2023, the prospect of remarrying appears to hold genuine excitement. The Hollywood star's divorce from the Australian actress, who is 13 years his senior at 70, was finalised in June 2025, finally releasing him from their lengthy union and clearing the way for a fresh chapter.

Plans for a Star-Studded Celebration
Though no official announcement has been made, Jackman is already thinking big about the wedding itself.
The Marvel actor, whose wealth comes from decades in blockbuster films and major stage productions, is apparently sparing no expense to create a memorable day. 'Hugh has all sorts of ideas for the wedding. He wants to have it in New York with all their Broadway friends and all their Hollywood friends,' the insider explained.
The guest list promises to be extraordinary, blending the worlds of theatre and cinema. Ryan Reynolds, Jackman's close friend and frequent collaborator, is being lined up as best man, whilst an impressive roster of Australian celebrities is also expected to attend.
'Hugh's planning to have Ryan Reynolds as his best man, but there'll be plenty of Aussie stars there as well. Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, and Naomi Watts – all people Hugh counts as close friends – are on the guest list,' the source added.

What makes the celebration particularly poignant, according to those close to the couple, is the journey both Jackman and Foster have taken to reach this moment.
'Hugh says that he and Sutton have overcome so much together, so when he's finally able to marry her, he's going to make it a celebration that everyone will remember. It's got to be very hard for their respective exes to see them barreling ahead, but Hugh doesn't seem to care. He's mad about Sutton and wants to shout it from the rooftops.'
The union between these two accomplished performers represents more than just a celebrity wedding – it's a genuine love story forged on the stages of Broadway, now ready to take its final bow.
