American model Kate Upton has been seen wearing only body paint in a photo shoot for Sports Illustrated 2013 swimsuit issue, taken earlier this year.

In a behind-the-scenes video, the 21-year-old is seen on the Emerald Bay beaches of the Bahamas.

"The day here is perfect," Upton said in the clip, "The weather is amazing and I was happy to take off my swimsuit for a little warm weather."

Upton also complimented the body-paint artists for the work.

"The hardest part by far was the necklace," the model explained. "I don't even know how they did it. They were taking the strands and connecting it to the other side, taking off paint [and] putting it back on, layers and layers."

"I definitely feel naked, because I am," she added. "It is just paint."

Upton made her first Sports Illustrated appearance in 2011, when she was named the magazine's Rookie of the Year. The following year, she appeared on the cover issue of the Swimsuit edition.

Upton, a native of Melbourne, Florida, is not new to minimal clothing adventures. Previously she was seen topless on a horse for a photoshoot, in a video released by TMZ.

The celebrity gossip website released the clip, "Kate Upton SUPER TOPLESS On a Horse," in which she is seen wearing a hoodie, over her bikini bottom. Once the photographer is ready for shoot, she strips down to her bottoms, with only a pair of heels. It has been revealed that the video was taken during Upton's photoshoot for Complex magazine two years ago.
