In an interview with Teen Vogue, American pop singer Katy Perry has admitted she really does not enjoy being famous!

"I'm tired of being famous, but I'm not tired of creating. Fame is just a disgusting by-product of what I do. But I stopped focusing on what other people think a while ago. It's a delicate creature - a wild animal of sorts. It can love you, and then it can attack you," The Sun quoted her as saying in the interview.

It isn't the fame that surprised us but the fact she was offered a role in an Oscar-winning film.

"There was a time when I was going to be involved in 'The Help'. Just a small part, I wasn't going to be Emma Stone or anything - but I couldn't because the shooting schedule conflicted with the release of my record. I was upset about that; I knew it was going to be an important film. Not that I need to do drama first, but I do want to do something that makes a strong impression," Katy said.

The singer also revealed that her inspiration came from Agyness Deyn, Chloë Sevigny, Daphne Guinness, Natalie Wood, Judy Jetson and Wonder Woman and that she aspired to be "pin-up" girl in the future.

Meanwhile, Perry has been quite busy recently inspite of her separation from husband Russell Brand. The star was in India performing at the inaugural ceremony of cricket's Indian Premiere League (IPL) and has her own 3D film coming out in summer, titled "Katy Perry - Part of Me". Finally, the singer also revealed that she would like to go back in time to avoid the mistake of marrying Russell Brand. According to The Sun. the pop star said she was desperate to jump into Doc Brown's DeLorean time travel machine from the "Back to the Future" films to avoid getting hitched.

"I'd like to use a time machine and go back to a specific date, please," Katy said.

According to the Daily Telegraph, even though she was spotted with Italian model Baptiste Giabiconi, Katy complained of loneliness and depression.

"I feel like an 80-year-old in an assisted-living condo. My music is about to get real f*cking dark. You'd never see my face because my hair would be in it," she added.
