The actress has confessed that her infatuation with Cheers co-star Woody Harrelson drove her to almost sleep with him.

Kirstie Alley has revealed that she was once so infatuated with her Cheers co-star, Woody Harrelson, that she seriously considered having an affair with him.

The Hollywood actress, who was married to her second husband, actor Parker Stevenson, at the time, admits that she developed strong feelings for the comedic actor while filming the sitcom.

The 61-year-old makes the shock admission in her new memoir, The Art of Men.

In the tell-all book, she recalls: "He would incessantly insist we sleep together, half joking and half serious. 'We're not sleeping together', I would say, half wishing I wasn't married so we could."

Alley played bar manager Rebecca Howe in the bar-based comedy series, which ran from 1985 to 1993, while the Harrelson took the role of naïve barman Woody Boyd.

She insists that she had to constantly remind herself she was taken to resist temptation from the 41-year-old funnyman who was single.

Her disclosure comes days after she confessed that John Travolta had been the love of her life.

She says that she fell for the actor the Grease star while the pair were filming the 1989 movie Look Who's Talking.

"Believe me, it took everything that I had, inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John. And be with John for the rest of my life. [He was the] greatest love of my life," she told Barbara Walters in an interview broadcast on breakfast TV show Good Morning America.
