Ashley Stock has found new light after unimaginable loss. On 30 June, the influencer and Little Miss Momma blogger welcomed a baby girl named Benny May Stock, five years after losing her daughter Stevie Lynn to brain cancer — a moment she describes as both deeply joyful and profoundly emotional.

Stock announced the news on Instagram the following day, sharing that Benny was born via surrogate and is currently being cared for in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in California.

A New Chapter Filled with Love and Memory

Benny's arrival marks a significant new chapter for Ashley, who has openly documented her family's grief since Stevie's death at age three in May 2020.

Now a mother of four, Ashley wrote about the complex emotions surrounding Benny's birth: relief, joy, fear, and the ongoing presence of grief.

'She is beautiful and fierce and cuddly and tiny and magical and smells like heaven,' Ashley wrote in her announcement. 'We are overwhelmed with love! Nicole did amazing,' she added, thanking the surrogate who carried Benny to term.

Ashley also shares sons Wesley and Sawyer with her husband, Ben. In photos and videos, the boys can be seen meeting their baby sister for the first time, a moment Ashley described as healing for the entire family.

Holding Joy and Sorrow Together

Benny was born slightly early at 36 weeks and was admitted to the NICU with jaundice and suspected hereditary spherocytosis, a rare blood disorder her father also carries.

'She is doing great and is being cared for by the most amazing team of nurses and doctors,' Ashley wrote.

In one touching video, Ashley is seen holding Benny close during a quiet moment in the NICU. 'Mommy finally got some skin-to-skin time with Benny,' she shared. 'I think it was exactly what we both needed.'

Ashley explained that Benny's condition, a combination of ABO incompatibility and likely hereditary spherocytosis, caused high bilirubin levels at birth, requiring medical intervention. Despite the challenges, Ashley's updates remain filled with cautious optimism and her signature blend of vulnerability and strength.

Honouring Stevie's Memory

For followers who have supported Ashley since Stevie's diagnosis and passing, Benny's birth feels like a gentle turning point. It is not a replacement or a fix, but a new life arriving in a family that still feels the deep absence of another.

In 2020, shortly after Stevie's death, Ashley wrote a widely shared post: 'I'm twisting the lid on my grief gently, because if I release it all at once, I don't see how I could possibly survive.'

That grief has not vanished but has instead made space. 'There is room in our hearts for all four of our children,' she wrote in her latest update. 'Stevie is still here, just in a different way.'

What Healing Can Look Like

Ashley has long used her platform to open conversations about parenting through loss, surrogacy, and navigating grief.

Through Benny's arrival, she shares a powerful lesson: that joy can return not in spite of grief, but alongside it. 'I do not need to choose one emotion,' she said. 'They all belong.'

In a world that often pushes people to move on quickly, Ashley's words serve as a reminder that healing is not about forgetting. It is about learning to hold love and loss in the same breath.
