Who was Sophia Hutchins, and what made her such a remarkable figure? Born in 1996 in Bellevue, Washington, Hutchins graduated from Pepperdine University in 2018 with a degree in economics and finance. Inspired by Caitlyn Jenner's 2015 20/20 interview, she came out as transgender while at university. 'Seeing Caitlyn's story made it so much more real,' she told The Pepperdine Graphic in 2016.

By 2017, she was managing Jenner and protecting her from financial exploitation. 'I saw nobody was managing her,' Hutchins told The New York Times. 'I said, "Caitlyn, I'm stepping in, or you'll go broke."' As CEO of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, Hutchins fought for transgender rights, focusing on healthcare and equality. She also founded LUMASOL, a sunscreen brand backed by Kim Kardashian's SKIMS.

Her bond with Jenner, formed in 2015, sparked romance rumours, which she refuted. 'Caitlyn is a parent to me,' she said in 2019. While living in Jenner's Malibu home, she appeared on I Am Cait and supported Jenner's 2019 I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! appearance.

Hutchins also maintained close ties with the Kardashian-Jenner family, staying connected with Kris, Kim, Kylie and Kendall. 'I'm closest with Kris,' she said on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, praising Kris's management advice.

A Trump supporter, she served as a 2024 campaign surrogate on Fox News. Her final Instagram post in April 2025, showing a repaired candelabra, reflected her resilience.

Hutchins' legacy as a transgender advocate and entrepreneur endures. Jenner called her 'one of the top minds in her field,' a testament to a life that inspired many.
