Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has praised the impact of manager Jurgen Klopp since he took over the club in October. The German manager has led his team to the Capital One Cup and Europa League finals since replacing Brendan Rodgers.

The England midfielder said, "I think you can see where we've come from at the start of the season to where we are now, I think the progression is huge. You can see the belief within the team, within the fans, everybody seems to be buzzing. And I think the manager has had a massive part to play in that".

Klopp has also overseen impressive away wins against Manchester City and Chelsea during his tenure. However, the Merseyside club sit eighth in the Premier League table.

Henderson was speaking at the launch of Liverpool's new home kit for the 2016/17 season. The 25-year-old is currently out injured, after being substituted at half-time during the Europa League quarter-final clash with Borussia Dortmund earlier in the season.

The Reds face Sevilla in the final of that competition on 18 May in Basel. Before then, they face Chelsea at home, and West Brom away in their remaining league fixtures.
