Manchester City host CSKA at Etihad Stadium as they look to cement their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time following their ascendancy to the higher echelons of the Premier League.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is set for 7:45pm GMT. Live coverage will be available on Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports 2 HD.

Overview

The game will be eclipsed by the controversy surrounding the fixture in Russia where Yaya Toure was subject to racial abuse by the fans, following which the Ivorian complained to the UEFA. Moscow are unwilling to take responsibility for the situation and have brushed aside the accusations by stating that the claims of racism have been exaggerated.

The situation surrounding Joe Hart is another which will throng attention from across the globe, with the England international being left on the bench in City's 7-0 win over Norwich City last weekend. Costel Pantilimon was given the go ahead after an error from Hart allowed Chelsea to take three crucial points when the league challengers visited Stamford Bridge earlier in October.

Manuel Pellegrini's men have come back strongly since their defeat to Chelsea and have brushed aside competition from Newcastle in the Capital One Cup and followed that up with a rout against Norwich. A win here will make them the second favourites to move into the knockout stages after Bayern Munich, a loss against whom has been theiur only blip thus far in Europe's greatest club competition.

This is a must win game for Moscow, if they are to have a chance of making it to the qualifying stages, having lost two of their last three group games. The most recent meeting between the two sides ended in a 2-1 victory for the visitors and Leonid Slutsky will be looking to carry his team's recent form into this game and give the Premier League giants a run for their money.
