Qualifying Review

Marquez and his Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa were battling to take pole during the qualifying on Saturday. However, the championship leader managed to take the top spot after he broke his own lap time in Q2.

The 21-year-old Spaniard clocked a time of 1:47.187s to clinch his 11th pole of the season. In the previous race at San Marino, Marquez failed to pick up even a single point, something he is not used to this season.

The Honda rider would be hoping for nothing less than a win at MotorLand Aragon on Sunday. Pramac's Andrea Iannone is in the third spot and will lock horns with Marquez and Pedrosa for the front row.

Meanwhile, Yamaha due Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo will start the Aragon MotoGP race from the sixth and seventh places respectively.
