One Direction
One Direction are said to be the headline acts at this year's Victoria's Secret catwalk show.

Fresh from the hype surrounding their film debut One Direction are reportedly heading for the Victoria's Secret catwalk as this year's headline act.

According to the Sun, the British boyband will take to the stage for the lingerie giants' annual fashion show in November.

"Their global superstar status will be solidified with this booking," a source told the Sun.

"Bigwigs at the Victoria's Secret and the televisión network CBS, which broadcasts the show, have been having meetings with the band and management.

"It's being said they pretty much have it in the bag as they were sold on their personalities."

One Direction join stars including Maroon 5, Rihanna, Jay Z, Katy Perry, Nicky Minaj, Kanye West and Bruno Mars who have also performed at the show.

In 2012, Justin Bieber attracted 7 million viewers when he headlined the fashion extravaganza.

Rihanna also serenaded the crowd as Brazilian 'Angel' Alessandra Ambrosio walked down the catwalk wearing a diamond bra worth $2.5 million.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will return to New York City this year and Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio are amongst the models set to hit the runaway.

If they do perform it will be the latest in a line of triumphs for Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan following the premiere of their film This Is Us.

Morgan Spurlock's 3D documentary charts the meteoric rise of the teen sensations who found fame on the X Factor in 2010.

This Is Us hits cinemas nationwide on 30 August.
