Ray J has revealed in a stark social media confession that his heart is failing and doctors have given him only months to live. The 45-year-old singer, known for hits like One Wish, said his heart is beating at just 25% capacity, with the right side 'black' and 'done.'

He blamed years of alcohol, Adderall and drug abuse for his condition, admitting he thought he was 'invincible.' This came after his hospitalisation in Las Vegas earlier this month for severe pneumonia and heart pain. Ray J credited his sister, singer Brandy, for covering his hospital bills for the rest of the year, adding that his parents were taking him to further appointments. This health scare comes amid other challenges.

In November 2025, Ray J was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at his ex-wife, Princess Love, and charged with making criminal threats. Multiple firearms were recovered from the home, and he later claimed in court documents that he acted to prevent her from driving away with the kids while impaired. By December, charges expanded to six misdemeanors, including brandishing a firearm and child endangerment.
