Twilight actor Robert Pattinson pushed aside a security guard outside a Los Angeles club, mistaking him for a photographer.

In a video hosted by TMZ, the 27-year-old actor is seen leaving the Troubadour in Hollywood surrounded by photographers and fans. As he was getting into his SUV with his security guards, Pattinson appeared to mistake one of the guards for a paparazzo and pushed him backwards.

Meanwhile, the paparazzi started hurling questions at the Cosmopolis actor saying, "Why did you hit him? He was just trying to protect you" and "Why did you assault the innocent security guard?!"

However, the guard did not seem to be angry.

"He thought I was somebody else," the guard said.

Pattinson, who is currently filming scenes for his movie Maps to the Stars, has reportedly moved to Beverly Hills, away from the Loz Feliz mansion he shared with former girlfriend and co-star Kristen Stewart.

"Rob is missing Kristen like crazy," a source told Hollywood Life, "He thought by moving to Beverly Hills and hanging out with his new friends it would take his mind off Kristen, but it has done the complete opposite. His distractions are only making him miss Kristen more."

According to E!Online, Pattinson has spent an estimated $3.5 million (£2.24m) on the French Mediterranean-style home, which has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, along with a sports bar, heated swimming pool, steam room, library and spa.

"He is lonely and sad. He's in a new home, but it doesn't matter, having Kristen not around isn't the same. He used to laugh with Kristen and things just aren't the same with her not around," the insider added.
