Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 8:05pm BST. Live coverage of the first semi-final clash between Shakhtar Donetsk and Sevilla will be available on BT Sport 2.

Overview

Shakhtar and Sevilla made it to the second tier of European club competition after being eliminated from the group stages of the Champions League. The Ukrainian outfit had Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the same group and the two sides progressed to the knockout stages of the competition.

Juventus and Manchester City were successful in progressing from Sevilla's group, which saw them demote to the Europa League as they are set to defend the trophy for the third consecutive year.

Mircea Lucescu's side registered a crushing 6-1 aggregate victory over Sporting Braga in the quarter-final. He will be hoping that Shakthar can emulate a similar performance when they take on the La Liga outfit on Thursday.

Sevilla, on the other hand, eliminated Athletic Bilbao from the Europa League to seal a berth in the last four of the competition. Having won it on two occasions in the last two seasons, their experience in the Europa League will be vital to progress to the final.
