Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Dog Makes Surprise Modelling Debut Alongside NFL Star in Tommy Hilfiger Campaign
NFL star Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's Samoyed make a surprise appearance in Tommy Hilfiger's latest campaign

A fluffy white Samoyed has quietly upstaged one of the NFL's biggest names in his own fashion campaign. On 1 September 2026, Tommy Hilfiger unveiled its Fall 2026 campaign, 'Only in New York', marking Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's first commercial outing as the brand's global ambassador.
Buried among the shots of Kelce striding through the Plaza Hotel was an unannounced co-star: the dog he shares with wife Taylor Swift. It is the couple's first public confirmation, however indirect, of a pet whose existence had only been guessed at from leaked wedding photographs.
A Furry Co-Star Steals the Spotlight
The campaign, shot over two days in April at New York's Plaza Hotel by photographer Lachlan Bailey, was released via a press statement distributed on Business Wire by Tommy Hilfiger's parent company, PVH Corp.
It shows Kelce fist-bumping a hotel doorman before settling into a suite alongside the dog, who lounges on a striped chair and curls up beside him on the sofa.
Speaking to Vogue about the decision to include the animal, Kelce explained that the idea originated with the brand's creative team, not with him. 'We figured, why not her? She crushed it, and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic, too,' he said. 'Those are some of my favourite shots.'
In the wider press release announcing the campaign, Kelce added a separate line crediting Hilfiger directly. 'Tommy brought us into his world at The Plaza for this, and it doesn't get more classic New York than that,' he said. 'There's a magic to this city, and I love that you never know who or what's around the corner.'
From Wedding Whispers to a Name Reveal
Speculation about a Kelce-Swift dog began before images from the couple's 3 July 2026 wedding at Madison Square Gardencirculated online, with one appearing to show a white dog displayed among the decors. Sightings of Kelce travelling with a similar-looking animal followed, but neither he nor Swift had confirmed a pet publicly before the Hilfiger campaign.
The dog's name briefly surfaced by accident. Forbes, in its initial coverage of the campaign, identified the Samoyed as Wendy before quietly removing the reference from the published article, a detail preserved only in screenshots that circulated on social media.
Tommy Hilfiger's own social channels, including a post on X from the brand's account on 1 September, referred to Kelce's companion only as a 'special guest', stopping short of confirming the name Forbes had briefly published.
Kelce's Expanding Role as Tommy Hilfiger's Face
The dog's appearance is a footnote to a larger business story. Tommy Hilfiger first announced Kelce as its global brand ambassador and creative collaborator in a press release issued in March 2026, describing him as a 'three-time Super Bowl champion and defining voice of his generation'.
In that same statement, designer Tommy Hilfiger called Kelce 'one of the most magnetic figures in sport and culture today', praising his ability to blend athletic credibility with personal style. 'Only in New York' is the first campaign to result from that partnership, with a second instalment planned for Spring 2027 alongside a separate design collaboration.
The Fall 2026 cast also includes Gigi Hadid, Blackpink's Jisoo, musician Peggy Gou, tennis player Frances Tiafoe, basketball veteran Carmelo Anthony, and Tommy and Dee Hilfiger themselves.
The 'Tommy Icons' collection features embroidered hoodies, cable-knit turtlenecks and wool-blend coats, with select pieces priced under £79 (about $100) and available now on tommy.com and in stores worldwide.
For Kelce, who is entering his fourteenth NFL season, the deal extends a pattern of off-field ventures running alongside his football career, positioning him within a small group of active athletes, among them Formula 1's Lewis Hamilton, who front campaigns for legacy fashion houses.
Whatever her name, the Samoyed has now done something neither Swift nor Kelce had managed: put their private life in front of a global advertising audience without either of them formally announcing it.
