A couple claim to have accidentally spotted an unidentified flying object when they were trying to locate the International Space Station on 5 May.

The husband and wife from Lincolnshire were gazing at the skies to spot the Nasa space station but were surprised to see an odd looking object flying over their locality.

"I was looking for the international space with my husband and thought the light was it but then it started moving in different directions," the wife, Gail Phillips shared her experience with the local daily Lincolnshire Echo.

The couple also revealed that they managed to locate the ISS hovering in the night sky but the mysterious flying object had them so spellbound and they forgot to record it initially.

"We saw it (the space station) going across the sky, then I spotted this other light hovering," Gail told the local daily with whom the couple shared the UFO video.

"We watched it for about 30 seconds before we thought we would record it. We thought it was too dark to be a remote helicopter and then it started to move backwards which was a little strange."

Meanwhile a paranormal investigator, Gavin Davies, too claimed spotting an unidentified cluster of lights flying over Carmarthenshire, the Carmarthen Journal reported.

Like the Phillips, Davies too was waiting to sight the ISS but instead spotted a flying object with one large bright light and two smaller lights.

The paranormal investigator was quick to make an appeal on Facebook to report any similar UFO sightings in the area.

Davies runs a website for paranormal activities and deals with ghost sightings and is the author of a bestselling book A Most Haunted House.
