AI Summit Barcelona Jury

Ukrainian tech entrepreneur and investor Volodymyr Lytvyn, founder of the Lytvyn.AI.Foundation, joined the jury for the startup pitch session at AI Summit Barcelona 2026.

One of Europe's largest events dedicated to artificial intelligence, the AI Summit Barcelona took place on 22–23 September at the World Trade Center Barcelona, with organisers having projected more than 10,000 attendees and over 200 speakers.

The summit featured representatives from OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Cloudflare, AWS, SAP, J.P. Morgan and other international companies, alongside technology founders, researchers and investors.

The programme included talks, working sessions, live AI product demonstrations and a dedicated startup programme.

Lytvyn Assessed European AI Startups

Volodymyr Lytvyn joined the Startup Pitch jury at the AI Summit Barcelona alongside representatives of European venture capital firms Acurio Ventures, Partech, Cathay Innovation, Elaia and Armilar Venture Partners.

Five AI startups reached the final: Papaya, Albion Techbio, Elna Health, Vigiai and Siren Agtech. The teams presented their products to the jury and investors before taking questions from the panel. Vigiai was named the winner.

Lytvyn's participation in AI Summit Barcelona forms part of his wider work with technology entrepreneurs and teams building AI-based products across Europe. Through the Lytvyn.AI.Foundation, he is developing initiatives focused on engineers, technical founders and AI startups.

AI Summit Barcelona Jury

The Lytvyn.AI.Foundation To Hold AI Hackathon in Barcelona

On 9–10 October, the Lytvyn.AI.Foundation will hold an AI hackathon in Barcelona for 70 engineers and technical founders. Participants will work in teams of up to four and have 13 hours across two days to build a working product.

The theme will be revealed at the start of the event. Teams will be free to use any AI model, coding agent, stack or other tool. The finished product must run in a mobile browser and be usable by someone unfamiliar with it within 60 seconds.

Participants will compete across three tracks: Game, Tool and Habit. The best project will receive €10,000. AI Summit Barcelona also provided an opportunity to connect with prospective participants in the upcoming hackathon.

About Volodymyr Lytvyn

Volodymyr Lytvyn is a Ukrainian tech entrepreneur and investor who develops technology projects and AI initiatives in Europe. He is the founder of the European Lytvyn.AI.Foundation and owns a number of successful IT ventures, enabling him to invest in new projects and support social and educational initiatives.
