Will Smith and Son Jaden Start Filming After Earth

The first picture has been leaked online of Will Smith on the set of his new film, After Earth.

Plot details remain sketchy on the film, directed by M Night Shyamalan, which sees Smith star alongside his son Jaden.

They play a father and son who crashland on an alien planet. Other plot details are being kept firmly under wraps.

The presence of Shyamalan, who has become famous for his plot twists, would suggest all is not as it seems.

He will be hoping for a hit with the film, due for release in June 2013, after suffering back-to-back flops with Lady in the Water, The Happening and The Last Airbender.

The Smiths have acted together before, with Jaden marking himself out as a talent in uplifting drama Pursuit of Happyness (sic). Shyamalan will hope they bring that chemistry to the screen again.
