Adele took Twitter by storm when she released the teaser for her new single Send My Love (To Your New Lover) on the social media site on Monday. Following the release of Hello and When We Were Young, the singer's new song will be the third one from her Billboard topping album 25.

UK's richest female musician, Adele, has proven time and again that she is the reigning queen of the music industry, and the brief snippet of her new single's video proves the same. Dressed in a Victorian style floor-grazing floral gown, the Rolling In The Deep hitmaker is seen swaying against an all-black background in the clip.

Although it's an extremely short teaser, the 16-second video introduces music lovers to the haunting beauty of Adele as the opening chords of the song plays.

According to reports, the music video for Send My Love was shot in Adele's native London, and was directed by Patrick Daughters, whose resume includes videos for Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Adele's third single had the singer-performer collaborating for the first time with writers Max Martin and Shellback.

"I wrote this (Send My Love) with Max Martin," the Hello singer said at an iHeart Radio event, "I heard 'Trouble' by Taylor Swift and was like, 'WHO wrote that?"

After Hello's emotional connection with fans, Adele revealed that her new song is a "happy one".

"I know I'm not old, but I feel it because so much has happened in my life," the 28-year-old artist said explaining the nostalgic theme of her new album.

Adele, who is currently on the European leg of her 25 world tour, will debut the video for her single Send My Love during the Billboard Music Awards on 22 May. Other singers, who are scheduled to perform at the music event, include Britney Spears, Rihanna, Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato.
