Chile international midfielder Charles Aranguiz has claimed it would be a dream come true to play in the Premier League after recent reports claimed both Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring his development.

The 25-year-old versatile midfielder is currently playing at Brazilian side International after joining on loan from Granada in January 2014.

Recent reports claimed scouts from both London clubs have been tracking the Chile international since the midfielder impressed them during the Brazil World Cup.

Some media outlets even claimed that Arsene Wenger is planning to launch a £4.4million bid to reunite him with his compatriot Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates Stadium next season.

Wenger has reportedly earmarked the signing of a versatile midfielder as one of the priorities for the summer, especially considering that Mikel Arteta's future at North London is still uncertain as his contract is set to expire in the summer.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is also said to be interested in signing a back-up for Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas to address the shortage of midfielders in the squad.

And Aranguiz himself has now fuelled the rumours about a move to the Premier League while speaking with the reporters after the Chile 1-0 defeat against Brazil at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday 29 March.

Questioned about the rumours which linked him with a move to the Premier League, he said: "I don't know anything. I just heard something in the press but nobody has spoken to me about that."

But asked whether he would like to play in the Premier League and in a club like Arsenal, he responded: "Here there are very big clubs, they play really well and it would be a dream. But right now is just this: a dream.
