Mario Gotze has revealed that he would consider signing a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund, with the Arsenal target insisting he is not seeking a move to another club.

Gotze has been a breakthrough star for the German outfit, and at just 19 years old, has attracted attention from numerous clubs around Europe, with numerous press outlets discussing a price tag of up to £30 million for the playmaker.

Arsenal were said to be English front runners at least to land the youngster, with Arsene Wenger claiming on numerous occasions that he likes Gotze.

The Gunners manager said in late November that while he isn't chasing Gotze for January, he does like the player, and was coy over whether Arsenal had made any enquiries to Dortmund.

''We have a big squad and we are not after anybody," Wenger said as Arsenal were preparing to play Dortmund in the Champions League group stages.

''Gotze is a very good player. I can understand there is a lot of interest in him around Europe.

''On our side, I do not think this is the best time to talk about it."

But Dortmund have continually insisted that Gotze will stay with the club for the next season at least, and the Germany international has given his best indication yet that he will not leave for the short-term future.

"Of course I can imagine signing another contract extension with Borussia Dortmund," Gotze told Bild.

"I have always said that I'm feeling very well here and that hasn't changed."

The news comes on the back of Marco Reus, another target for Arsenal, signing a contract extension with Borussia Monchengladbach. Both Reus and Gotze have been touted as Germany's future stars, for both their respective clubs and country, and Gotze believes that his international teammate is a 'super signing' for the side.

"This is a super sign, that we can get such an outstanding player," he said.

While in November Arsenal insisted they aren't chasing any players for January, so far the club have confirmed the signing of Thierry Henry on loan, and Wenger has revealed they are hoping to find a left-back as well.

But Wenger is always on the lookout for up and coming talent, and will no doubt be keeping a close eye on Gotze to see how developments take place surrounding his contract.
