Overview

Federer had no trouble in sealing a place in the finals of the BNP Paribas Open. The Swiss ace registered a comfortable victory over Alexandr Dolgopolov as he defeated the Ukrainian in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Djokovic made it to the finals after having a victory over John Isner in a three set thriller on Saturday. The World No 2 won the first set 7-5 as he just edged past the American tennis star. The second set went to the tiebreaker, only for Djokovic to lose 7-6 at the end.

However, the Serbian came stronger in the third and the final set to take the match away from Isner. He won it 6-1, which saw him set up a clash against Federer in the finals at Indian Wells.

The Swiss star has won the competition four times while Djokovic managed to win twice. It will be a nail biting finish to see two big names make it to the finals of the BNP Paribas Open.

Federer has a 17-15 lead over Djokovic in the overall meetings. The pair have met in eight grand slam events, with both winning on four occasions. Djokovic holds a 3-2 lead over Federer in the last five previous meetings between the pair.
