Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot at Utah Valley University on 10 September 2025, is now facing renewed scrutiny over her past friendship with a teenage girl. At the time, Kirk was 25 when she befriended a 15-year-old girl named Jillian.

Political commentator and media personality Candace Owens has doubled down on her claims about Kirk's 'bizarre friendship' with the teenager, and insists questions must be asked about the nature of the friendship, particularly given the wider context of alleged links to areas and organisations associated with child trafficking. Previously, Owens shared a conversation containing an unverified claim about Kirk and the teenager. But who exactly is Jillian, and why has Owens framed the relationship in such stark terms?

Candace Owens' 'Wild Update'

In a post on X, Owens claimed that someone sent her a tip about the connection between Kirk and the girl named Jillian. She said that the people who gave her further information 'discovered that at the time of her textual relationship with Erika, Jillian lived in a trailer park within a neighborhood that is KNOWN for the highest incidence of child sex trafficking.' Owens said she forwarded this information to Jillian, who confirmed it was true.

This post followed leaked, unverified conversations alleging that Kirk sent gifts and maintained a 'strange relationship' with Jillian. Some of the messages reportedly contained sexual references.

Owens summarised her claims in a lengthy post: 'So to recap: after striking up a bizarre friendship with a 15 year old girl who lives in a trailer park without a father, a then-25-year-old Erika proceeds to love-bomb Jillian by telling her how beautiful she is. She then asks Jillian for her address to send her chocolate covered strawberries, meaning Erika was plenty aware of where Jillian lived.'

Owens further alleged that Kirk arranged for Jillian to have photographs taken without ever communicating with her mother. She added that anyone 'defending this is demented,' while clarifying that she is not accusing Kirk of committing a crime but believed that 'questions need to be asked.'

Sexual Trafficking Claims and Wider Context

In a separate post, Owens argued that Kirk's conduct was not an isolated incident. She accused TPUSA of opening its headquarters directly from Arizona Mills, a place Owens claims is 'one of the highest places for child sex trafficking in the state.'

Owens also highlighted Kirk's past involvement with Romanian Angels, a charity working with orphans, and alleged links to Colonel Otto Busher, who has faced allegations of trafficking underage Romanian children. She further pointed to Kirk's partnership with Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship, noting that the church is facing multiple lawsuits alleging abuse of minors from a Romanian orphanage.

She also claimed that Kirk lived in China before working with child sex trafficking victims. Owens said that Kirk is now denying that she lived in China 'despite multiple past interviews in which she confirms she lived in Chongqing.' Owens asked, 'Why lie? It's worth noting that according to our state department, that area is a hotbed for child trafficking, so it might be prudent for us to understand exactly which charity she worked with victims.'

Who is Jillian?

The teenager at the centre of this controversy has been identified as Jillian Falkon, sometimes reported as Jillian Falcon. Jillian and Kirk reportedly began their friendship in 2013, exchanging texts that critics argue were inappropriate.

One message allegedly read: 'Hold on sweetheart, give me a sex wow. Period.' Jillian laughed in response, prompting Kirk to clarify herself: 'Sec like S E C sex too, but not from you lol.'

Critics pointed out that the tone of these exchanges was too intimate for a friendship between an adult and a minor. Beyond texting, Kirk allegedly arranged for Jillian to attend a private studio photo shoot without her mother's consent. According to reports, the photographer was described as a 'short' man whose name 'started with an R' and was considered 'weird.'
