Celta Vigo suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Athletic Bilbao in the last league fixture. The Spanish side are without a win in the last three matches and have managed to score only once, while conceding six goals in the process.

They made it to the last four of the Europa League after managing a 4-3 aggregate victory over Genk. This was achieved after a 3-2 victory in the first leg in Span, that gave them an advantage for the return leg.

Eduardo Berizzo will be hoping his side can avoid a defeat when they face the Red Devils in the first leg of the semi-final clash. Celta will be looking for an upset against the English side, especially after struggling in the league in recent times.

United enter this fixture after settling for a 1-1 draw against Swansea City in the Premier League. Wayne Rooney gave his side a lead just before the break from the penalty spot. His goal was cancelled by Gylfi Sigurdsson's brilliant free kick in the second half.

In the quarter-final of the Europe's second tier club competition, the English club managed to beat Anderlecht 3-2 on aggregate. Both the legs ended in a1-1 draw and the course of the match was decided in the extra time, with Marcus Rashford scoring the winner for the Red Devils.

Jose Mourinho will be hoping his side can seal a victory and get an advantage of scoring away goals for the return leg. United will be looking for nothing less than a win when they face Celta on Thursday.
