Chelsea are preparing a late bid to sign Arsenal and Liverpool winger target Antoine Griezmann, according to the Express.

The Real Sociedad star is currently one of the hottest properties in Europe, and a number of clubs from England and across Europe are interested in securing his services.

Arsenal have long been interested in the French international, while Liverpool are also believed to be in the race to sign him. Real Madrid and Barcelona, along with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, are also keen on signing Griezmann.

The 23-year-old impressed for France with his performance in the World Cup, though his side were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Germany. The Blues manager Jose Mourinho is impressed with Griezmann's display and has set his sights on landing him in the summer transfer window.

The French international has two years left on his Sociedad contract and recently rejected a chance to extend his stay with the Spanish club. This has alerted European giants as they are set for a summer battle in signing Griezmann, who is valued to be around £25m.

The Spanish club's manager Jagoba Arrasate has hinted they could part ways with the French star if the suitors could match their £25m asking price. Sociedad boss believes their high valuation for Griezmann could help them keep him at the club.

"Right now, as I understand it, he will continue [at Sociedad]. He's a player who has a contract with us. It's not easy to pay €30m (£25m) for a player and that makes us relatively calm," Arrasate explained.

Sociedad are not in the Champions League next season and the Express claims it will be difficult for them to keep Griezmann at the club beyond the ongoing transfer window. This could be a major boost for Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in their pursuit of signing the La Liga star.
