Chelsea exercised on Monday (October 21) at their training ground at Cobham before flying to Germany for Tuesday's (October 22) match with Schalke 04.

Schalke, top of Group E on six points, are aiming to get at least a draw against Chelsea to stay top of the table.

The German team won both matches against Basel and Steaua, while Chelsea beat Steaua but lost at home to Basel and so have three points.

Left back Ashley Cole may be a doubt for the match after missing this weekend's league game and England's final two World Cup qualifiers this month with a rib injury but he was training on Monday. Andre Schurrle also missed the Cardiff match because of a leg muscle injury.

Chelsea's Samuel Eto'o, who scored his first goal since joining the London club in Saturday's 4-1 win over Cardiff, was also training with Juan Mata and David Luiz.

Manager Jose Mourinho was pacing up and down during the session after being banned from the touchline at Cardiff for berating officials during the game.
