Overview
Djokovic registered a place in the semifinals of the BNP Paribas Masters after registering a routine comfortable victory over Stanislas Wawrinka on Friday. The Serbian won the game in straight sets as he went on to win the match 6-1, 6-4.
The victory over Wawrinka in the last eight saw Djokovic seal a place to face Federer at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy on Saturday. Meanwhile, the former World no 1 and current World no 7 had to stretch to register a berth in the semi-finals.
Federer defeated Juan Martin Del Potro in a three-set thriller to make it to the penultimate clash before reaching the finals of the BNP Paribas Masters. The Swiss star won the first set while losing the second set to the Argentine. However, he then made a comeback in the final set to win the match 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
The victor on Saturday will face the winner of the second semi-final clash between Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer, scheduled for later in the day.
