Elon Musk harboured an unprecedented 'degree of certainty' about the outcome of the 2024 US presidential election long before votes were tallied, according to explosive allegations of election meddling set to air in a new documentary.

The claim, which was presented alongside texts detailing the billionaire's purported access to ten thousand lasers in space, surfaced from Ashley St Clair, the mother of one of the Tesla tycoon's youngest children.

Musk spent the better part of the election cycle becoming a highly prominent figure in American politics, heavily financing Donald Trump's successful campaign.

Through historic financial contributions and his high-profile stint leading the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, the X owner cemented a level of political and data-driven influence that the upcoming film attempts to critically unpick.

In acclaimed documentarian Alex Gibney's forthcoming feature film, Musk, previewed by The Hollywood Reporter, St Clair outlines private exchanges that occurred before the election was called.

She alleges the SpaceX founder told her he was preparing to unleash an 'anomaly in the matrix' regarding the race, displaying a quiet confidence about the impending results that she 'had never seen before'.

Backing up her assertions, the documentary reportedly broadcasts a text exchange between the 55-year-old billionaire and the 28-year-old St Clair on screen. In the messages, Musk allegedly wrote, 'I have ten thousand lasers in space.'

When an off-camera Gibney asks whether this cryptic phrase directly referred to the vast Starlink satellite network, which currently dominates low-Earth orbit communications, St Clair's response is pointed. 'I mean, I don't know where else he has space lasers,' she replies.

SpaceX representatives did not respond to requests for comment regarding the exchange.

Unprecedented Access and Data Concerns

Musk made no secret of his partisan pivot, channelling more than £215 million ($290 million) into Trump's final bid for the White House.

The documentary's revelations emerge as Musk re-enters the MAGA fold, having recently navigated a highly publicised fallout with the 80-year-old president following his abrupt exit from his federal role. But the friction extending from Musk's orbit reaches far beyond Washington's political theatre.

St Clair, once a vocal champion of right-wing causes, has publicly disavowed the movement. Speaking on a recent episode of The Daily Beast Podcast, she characterised the broader political project as a 'cult' with a track record of treating women poorly.

She attributes this stark ideological shift to a fierce, ongoing custody dispute with the billionaire. Musk, who has fathered at least 14 children with four women, publicly questioned his paternity of St Clair's second child born in September 2024.

The personal battles escalated dramatically after St Clair voiced public solidarity with Musk's 20-year-old transgender daughter, Vivian Wilson.

In a swift and highly publicised response, Musk turned to social media to declare his next legal move. 'I will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy,' he wrote, cementing a stark fracture between his private life and his very public political crusade.
