Overview

Chennai are currently second in the league, level on 20 points with table-toppers Mumbai Indians, who have a better Net Run Rate. Third-placed Rajasthan Royals also have 20 points as the race for the top two spots heats up (IPL play-off rules offer a "life" to the top two teams in the knockout phase).

The Super Kings lost to Rajasthan by five wickets at Jaipur in their last match on Sunday, after posting a modest total of 141. However, Stephen Fleming's side know a win against Delhi today will help them move back to the No.1 spot.

Meanwhile, the Daredevils are bottom of the table, only above Pune Warriors, and are already outof the race for the play-offs. Delhi lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by four runs in their previous game, falling just short of their target of 184.

For Eric Simons and his men, the remaining three matches are a chance to finish a disappointing campaign on a high and spoil a few parties along the way.
