Overview

The clash between Ireland and the Netherlands will have no impact on who will make it to the final 10 of the T20 World Cup. Ireland suffered defeat at the hands of Oman and after that upset, their chances of progressing to the next round took a hit as their clash against Bangladesh was called off due to bad weather.

The rain in Dharamshala also forced the clash between the Netherlands and Oman to be called off, leaving both teams to share a point. Bangladesh and Oman have three points each and the former is leading the table with a better net run rate.

Bangladesh and Oman face each other in the final qualifier fixture and the winner of that clash will make it to Group 2 of the 2016 T20 World Cup. It will be disappointing for both the Netherlands and Ireland to crash out of the tournament in this fashion.
