Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao's agent Jorge Mendes has admitted that he does not know if his client will remain at Old Trafford beyond the current season.

The Colombian international is on a season long loan from AS Monaco with United having the option of making the deal permanent at the end of the season. But, the striker is yet to get any indication from the club's hierarchy regarding their plans for the future.

Falcao, who was prolific in his previous clubs Atletico Madrid and Porto has struggled to settle in England and the Premier League. He has failed to live up to expectations and his tally of four goals in 14 games is yet to convince manager Louis van Gaal to make his stay permanent.

However, his agent has revealed that the striker dreams of staying and playing for the 20-times English champions and believes that if the former Atletico striker is given a continuous run in the team, he will show that he is one of the best strikers in the world.

Even if United decline the offer of making the striker's deal permanent, his agent is confident that his client will be playing in one of the top European clubs next season.

"His dream is to stay at Manchester United, but if that does not happen, it is certain that he will play in one of the most important teams next season. All clubs want a player like Falcao," Mendes said, as quoted by French newspaper Le10 Sport.

"I do not know. Falcao is 100%, but they do not give him the opportunity to play regularly. If he plays five or six consecutive games, people will see that this is one of the best strikers in the world," the Colombian's agent explained.
