Manchester United are reportedly set to join the chase for Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 22-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Gunners in the summer and the Red Devils are apparently the latest club to express their interest.

The England international has already been linked with a transfer to Manchester City and West Ham United. Now, though, a source close to the player has told ESPN that United are also interested in Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has become a peripheral figure at Arsenal this season.

It has been reported Arsenal boss Wenger was open to offers for Oxlade-Chamberlain and other fringe players this summer, with the Frenchman keen to overhaul his squad after another underwhelming campaign for the Gunners.

And although the Old Trafford club are likely to face stiff competition for the player's signature, they have asked to be kept informed of his situation. United are keen to acquire a creative wide player this summer, and the club reportedly feel Oxlade-Chamberlain could fit the bill.

Meanwhile, Oxlade-Chamberlain, who joined Arsenal from Southampton in 2011, is said to be open to the idea of leaving the Emirates, having found his first-team opportunities restricted in recent months.
