Manchester United take on Chelsea in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Monday, 28 December.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is at 5:30pm GMT. Live coverage of the match is available on BT Sport 1.

United are struggling as they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat at the hands of Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on 26 December. It is for the first time in 12 years the Red Devils have lost on Boxing Day.

Two first-half goals gave Mark Hughes's side three points as United struggled to trouble Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland. Bastian Schweinsteiger will return after serving a three-match ban and he could partner Morgan Schneiderlin in the midfield against the Blues.

Louis van Gaal's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain as the Dutchman admitted that he could leave the club, before his employers could show him the exit door. Sacked Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is a reported target for United, should they sack Van Gaal.

Chelsea come into the fixture after they failed to beat Watford at Stamford Bridge. The match ended in a 2-2 draw and the Premier League winners had a chance to seal three points, only for Oscar to miss a chance to score from a penalty spot.

The Blues' new manager Guus Hiddink managed his first game against Watford and the clash against United will be his first away match of his second spell at Chelsea. He will be hoping to pile more worries on his compatriot by walking away from Old Trafford with three points.
