Overview

Home favourites Great Britain come into this clash under tremendous pressure to do well in the competition. Ranked number four in the world, Britain will be relying on the talents of the attacking duo of Barry Middleton and Ashley Jackson to score goals and lead the team.

The host nation are yet to win the Champions Trophy title, with them finishing runners-up twice in 1985 and 2010. With the crowds behind their back, they will have no better chance to break their duck.

Their opponents Australia are the most successful side in the competition, having won the Champions Trophy a record 13 times. They are the top ranked side in the world and are expected to win the tournament.

The Men from Down Under will be without veteran forward Jamie Dwyer and defender Mark Knowles but have enough ammunition in their squad to make up for their absence.
