Erling Haaland Shows Pep Guardiola His New Haircut and Gets Told 'You're Lucky'
Erling Haaland has swapped his trademark long hair for a short cut ahead of the new Premier League season, drawing a light-hearted reaction from Pep Guardiola

Erling Haaland has cut off his trademark long blonde hair ahead of the new Premier League season, with former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola among the first people to see the new look.
The 26-year-old striker revealed his closely cropped haircut on 23 August after documenting the transformation in a video on his YouTube channel. He had considered making the change after the 2026 World Cup but delayed it because of his schedule. With the new Premier League campaign approaching, Haaland decided it was finally time to make the change.
Haaland later called Guardiola to show him the result, with the former City manager laughing before telling him: 'You're lucky you have hair. I would love to have it.' The exchange was filmed as part of Haaland's video documenting the haircut.
Guardiola Reacts to Haaland's New Look
Once the haircut was finished, Haaland showed his new look to people close to him, including Guardiola.
The former manager laughed when Haaland appeared on screen before telling him he was 'lucky' to have hair and admitting he would 'love to have it'. Guardiola also said he liked the haircut and reassured Haaland that it would grow back if he changed his mind.

The exchange came as Haaland prepares for his first Manchester City season without Guardiola in charge. The striker became one of the Premier League's leading scorers during their time together at City, while the club won several major trophies.
Haaland Wanted a Fresh Start
In his YouTube video, Haaland said he had considered cutting his hair immediately after the World Cup but had been too busy to do it. With the new season beginning, he decided it was time for a 'fresh start'.
The Norwegian wanted a very short, military-style buzz cut and admitted he was nervous before the barber began. He joked about whether he would regret losing his long hair and revealed that he had not told his mother about the plan.
As the barber worked, Haaland showed viewers photographs of some of his previous hairstyles and considered several possible looks before settling on the much shorter cut.
During the process, he joked that one stage made him look like Kevin from Home Alone. He also questioned how he would feel when he woke up the following morning and saw the new style again.
After the haircut was completed, Haaland appeared pleased with the result before beginning a series of video calls to show the new look to people he knew.
Haaland Takes New Look Into Premier League Season
Haaland had kept the haircut relatively private before revealing it publicly. The change marks a significant departure from the long blonde hairstyle he has worn throughout much of his rise to prominence.
He ended the video by saying he had 'no regrets' about the decision and joking that Vikings had worn their hair short.
The new look arrives as Manchester City begin a new Premier League campaign, with Haaland preparing to play under a different manager for the first time since joining the club. Haaland said the decision was part of starting the new season with a 'fresh start'.
